What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Please reach out to me at least 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel! There is a late cancellation/no show fee of $100 charged for any appointments cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours in advance. An appointment is considered to be a no-show/missed appointment when a client does not show within 15 minutes. Insurance does not cover this fee.

-
How do I get started?
Feel free to email me directly or contact through Psychology Today in order to schedule your first appointment. We can then review our schedules to see if I have any openings that work with your availability.

What can I expect in my first session?
This is the time to come with any goals and questions you may have. I’ll be asking questions about why you’re seeking therapy at this time, what you’re hoping to get from our time together and reviewing the paperwork you completed. Paperwork is required 48 hours prior to your first session so I have time to review this so we can make the most out of your first session! If you do not complete paperwork on time, we may have to reschedule your first appointment.
-
What if I'm not ready to talk about what happened to me?
That is completely valid. In fact, I don’t encourage anyone to share their trauma on the first date—or the first session. Therapy is not about rushing through your story, it’s about building safety and trust first.
We have the privilege of moving at your pace. We will work toward having consent and permission from all parts of you before sharing your story. It is always okay to say, “I’m not ready to talk about that right now.”
The work unfolds when your nervous system is ready, not when you force it.

What are expectations for sessions?
Sessions are 55 minutes and typically held on a weekly basis. Consistency is an important part of the therapeutic process, as regular sessions help build momentum, safety, and trust.
I understand that life happens, and when possible, we will work together to reschedule missed appointments. If you find that you need to miss two or more weeks in a row, we will pause to reassess whether your current appointment time still fits your life or whether this is the right time to be in therapy.
These expectations are in place to support your progress and help you get the most out of our work together.
